Requirements for Dachshund (Miniature Smooth Haired) Litters

  • Both parents must be registered with a Kennel Club either in the UK or overseas.
  • Both parents must be a recognised standard colour for the breed.
  • The sire must be over the age of 12 months.
  • The dam must be over the age of 14 months.
  • The dam must not have whelped more than 3 litters in her lifetime.
  • The dam of the litter must be under the age of 8 years old on the litter due date.
  • The dam must not have whelped another litter within the last 12 months.
  • The dam must not have had two back to back litters within the last two years.

Breed specific health tests

Both the sire and the dam must have the following health tests. 

One parent, either the sire or the dam, must have tested clear. 

How to add your Dachshund (Miniature Smooth Haired) Litter

You must complete the following steps. 

  1. Add the dam of the litter. 
  2. Complete the form.

Failure to adding the dam will result in a delay to your litter being processed.

All litters are  reviewed and verified before they are added to the litter directory.
