Requirements for German Wirehaired Pointer

  • The dog must be registered with a Kennel Club either in the UK or overseas.
  • The dog must be a recognised standard colour for the breed.
  • The dog must be over the age of 18 months.

Breed specific health tests

The dog must have the following health tests. 

The dog must have been tested.

Ideally stud dogs should have a score of 0:0.

However, we will allow a stud dog to be listed if it has an elbow score of 0:1 or 1:0, if the EBV is below 5. 

Genetic status of breeding stock with respect to vWD should be known, either by direct DNA testing or by inference from parental DNA test results.
