I grew up in a house of many Flatcoats which I loved. My only problem was our shown Flatcoat when I started handling classes, Leah, was very strong which definitely didn't work for 6-7 year old me and my extra fragile skin! So I saved up for 2 years until I could buy my own Golden Retriever, Daisy from Seruilia who did everything from Junior Handling (inc. qualifying for and eventually coming 6th in the YKC Handling Finals at Crufts 2014) to being awarded her Gold in Good Citizens obedience (KC GCDS).

I have since won many handling awards with dogs of my own and great friends' which I am very grateful for!

My top 3 moments in showing so far have to be Ivy winning the Gundog Group at Blackpool '21, Ivy being the UK's Top Golden Retriever '21 and becoming the AHA's first Adult Handler Of The Year '22. I feel very lucky to have won these awards along with many others and to be able to own & handle such super dogs who definitely enjoy it just as much!

I have bred a few litters in joint ownership as 'Fairwinds' with our latest little chap, Fairwinds In Space Man, making a lovely debut in Minor Puppy so far. Currently we have 4 Goldens and 2 Flatcoats who are joys to live with.

In 2021 I set up Fairwinds Canine Services as an extension of my passion and interest in both showing and breeding.
